Bushehr-Qatar first shipping line to launch by Nov. 21

Tehran (ISNA) - Bushehr’s Ports and Maritime Organisation Managing Director announced that Iran’s southern port of Bushehr will launch first cargo and passenger shipping line with Qatar by November 21, 2019.

“Bushehr-Qatar first cargo and passenger shipping line is about to launch by November 21, using a roro/passenger ship called Grand Ferry,”Bushehr’s Ports and Maritime Organisation Managing Director, Siavash Arjmandzade said.

“Grand Ferry is expected to carry cargo and passengers from Bushehr to Qatar twice a week. The vessel is equipped with 500 beds in 250 rooms as well as 1,300 chairs suitable for carrying passengers in five classes,” he added.

“Moreover, the shipping line will provide cargo transportation for pallets and various types of containers, including those meant for refrigerated transport,” Arjmandzade noted.
